Company History
Leaper Stanbrook was established in 1964, its first offices were at number 10 Gildredge Road followed by number 6 Gildredge Road and in July 1999 the company moved to its present much larger premises at 5 Gildredge Road. Additional offices at 28 Meads Street were opened in 2006, further increasing the firm’s profile and providing a local service to the residents of Meads, East Dean and Friston. The company is now run by directors Andrew Leaper and James Morley who between them have over 60 years experience in the residential property market, together with experienced negotiators and support staff.

Experience and Expertise
When you sell what is for most people their most valuable asset, it is essential that you receive reliable marketing advice. If you instruct Leaper Stanbrook to sell your property, you will do so in the knowledge that you are dealing with one of the longest established firms in the area. The directors and staff have, between them, many years of experience and are well qualified to advise you on the value of your property and the best method of sale. Our services are used and recommended by many solicitors and other professionals because they know they can rely on our integrity and expertise.
The professional way to sell your property
Our Offices
Our town centre office occupies a high profile location within a hundred yards or so of Terminus Road and our Meads office is located in the heart of Meads Village. Both offices are appointed to the highest standards and there are very extensive window displays where details of your property will be exhibited in full colour.
We believe that we have two of the most impressive estate agency offices in Eastbourne and this is borne out by the many complimentary comments that are made by visiting clients.

Independent & Local
When you instruct Leaper Stanbrook to sell your property, you will be dealing with a local independent firm. We are not part of a large corporate group who use their estate agency outlets to sell financial services. We are happy to help purchasers with their mortgage arrangements if requested but our prime function is to sell clients’ properties at the best achievable price as efficiently as possible. Over four decades we have gained in-depth knowledge of the local market and its development. This unique experience enables us to provide realistic valuations and to achieve the best possible results for our clients.
Presentation & Marketing
The presentation of the details of clients’ properties is extremely important and to enable us to create the best possible impression we use digital photography and a sophisticated computer system to produce high quality full colour particulars. Details of all properties are automatically circulated to our extensive register of applicants and in addition they will be featured in our comprehensive weekly advertisement in Eastbourne Herald/Property Today. Full details of every property available for sale will also be displayed on the most visited property website www.rightmove.co.uk together with our own web site.
Sole Agency Agreements
Because we have every confidence in our ability to sell your property and to provide you with a service that you will be happy with, we only ask for two weeks notice to cancel or vary an agreement. Some other agents may attempt to tie you into sole agencies lasting for considerably longer which can severely limit your chance of selling if the service they provide proves unsatisfactory.
Ombudsman Scheme
We provide a highly effective and professional service whilst maintaining high ethical standards. This is reinforced by the strict code of conduct imposed upon us by our membership of the National Association of Estate Agents, and the Estate Agents Ombudsman Scheme.
